Escape Cay is an owner's version with a lot of "green" equipment. It has 8 solar panels and TWO Four Winds wind generators mounted on an anodized aluminum arch designed for that purpose. Hence, she can go out on six month passages without ever stopping for fuel or water. And it has the buoyancy to carry six months worth of ship's stores without compromising speed or safety.
Because of all the energy saving and producing equipment, there are less than 1000 hours on each of the three diesels (2 main and genset).
